?...A Hairy Question...?

Should I cut my hair?

I have been debating this issue for some time. Let me give you a glimpse into my over-analytical way of thinking...
A year and a half ago, I decided I would cut my hair the following spring. I wanted to wait until the weather began to warm up and have a new style for summer. Then, I got pregnant. Judging from my previous pregnancy, I knew chopping my hair would not be in my best interest because I tend to inherit a chubby padding in my face. I decided to wait until the following spring. Which brings us to now.

I could go into many other thoughts that have entered my mind as well as my list of pros and cons, but I will spare you the agony of reading my always-churning thoughts.

I've been contemplating this longer than anyone should legally have the right to.

For peat's sake, IT'S HAIR!

It will grow.
Maybe not as fast as I would like, but it will grow.

What do you think?
Should I cut it?
If I do, I fully intend on donating what is cut to Locks of Love.
How short?
Take the poll and then leave your feedback!

p.s. My sister-in-law started a blog. Yea!

Yes, I think you would look great w/ short hair too! You know me though. I love short hair and obviously keep cutting mine even shorter. So that's my vote. :) Go for it!

Oh, it would be so fun! Do it! It'll be fun for a while (or maybe if you really love it, for a long while)-- it will definitely grow back if you hate it-- and I really think you could pull off a "short" look!

No! Absolutley not! Don't do it! Your hair is gorgeous - in that "It's kind of to like you, but you're a sweetheart, so I have to" - kind of way! :) I cut my hair a couple of years ago and hated it! Regret it to this day! Keep your gorgeous hair Ms Ashley! :)

Your hair has gotten SO long!!! I am torn...I think I will have to decide in person this weekend. Until then I will think about it often!

I still say go for it! I think it would be super cute and like you said it will indeed grow back. :)

You will still be a cutie pie with short hair. I think it will be a refreshing change for you while you take care of your two little ones. Plus, your hair seems to grow really fast, so go for it!! I love having short hair!

DO IT!!!!! I want to cut mine too, but I guess that is a good thought, that my face could get chubby too in the pregnancy! Go for the gold!

I too am torn for you. Okay, but here's the deal, I am cutting my hair on Thursday, so if you need moral support, I'm there with you. Your hair is really gorgeous right now all long. But, it would be a great donation to Locks of Love. If you do it, go to a salon and do it, not that your mom doesn't do a great job, cause she does, but maybe they can give you some hip advice on how short and what kind of cut. Just my opinion. You are beautiful either way. :)

Ok...I think you should. Look at the picture of you and Brad. If you think about it, the way the photo was taken, you look like you have shorter hair...that long, angled bob that is so cute now. It is super cute, shorter, but not too short. That might be a safe bet for you now. You can always go shorter later. Love it either way....

You're right....It's just hair! I did it and I love it and would do it again. It's a lot easier to fix and when you come see me in San Antonio you won't be soo hot! I'll make you a Locks of Love video too! ;) You hair would make a great wig for someone!

Ash! I have always loved your hair..I think it would be super cute short like shoulder length or in a bob..but you are gorgeous so it will look good no matter what!

I say cut it so you can donate it. I am trying to get mine long enough so that I can. Because I figure my hair will just grow back and I gave someone else the opportunity to have hair. Plus I get bored super easy!

Hmmmmm . . . that's so hard! I love it long, but I know it would look cute short. I cut 14 inches off my hair about a year ago and gave it to locks of love, which I feel really good about. . . but the truth is I really miss it and I'm growing it back, it will probably take me another year. Good Luck!

I am officially disqualifying myself from voting because I cannot ever make this decision for myself. Not to mention I can't get past my jealousy for your BEAUTIFUL locks of silky goodness. Either way you go, you really can't lose with the good hair genes you've got going on!

I love your hair, but I think it would look really cute short. Maybe chin length. I should not be authorized to give advice on this situation seeing as how I too have been debating getting my hair cut and just can't bring myself to do it once I get in the chair. What if I hate it? It took me forever to get it this long!! UHHH!!

GO FOR THE GOLD!

My hairstylist mentioned Locks of Love to me last year when I didn't realize my hair was ridiculously long. I signed up, got a free cut! and got it all chopped off.

What's funny is that I always made fun of people with an emotional connection to their hair. But there was something very strange about getting ten inches cut from your mane! Plus, I didn't have a gameplan and just picked a style when I got there, ha ha. I was surprised.

It's just hair and you or anybody else thinks your new cut looks dumb, just remind everyone it was for a good cause and in a few months you'll be good to go. :-)

(Plus, not having to wash and style a foot of hair? PRICELESS.)

p.s. - I like the goofy pictures you took for the purpose of this blog.
