Does anyone own one of these?

It is a Flip Video Camera. It is as small as a point and shoot camera and is what Brad has wanted to buy me for my birthday. He decided to postpone the purchase since we spent several hundred dollars on medication for the kiddos the other day, but still plans to buy one for me. He really thinks it would be great for us at this season in life. It is easy to carry, uploads videos by plugging into the computer and would capture everyday moments.

I was just curious if anyone had one or knew anything about it. I had never even seen one until Brad showed it to me.

Not to mention, you can design your own making it really cute and stylish!

Magazine Junkie?

I'm really not.

I only receive a few magazines each month and I often never even get to them. It is alluring  to curl up on the couch in a quiet house with a drink and a good magazine. I  do it from time to time, but not regularly.

The few magazines that I receive are...

The Mr. gets Relevant and he loves it; that's his thing. Sometimes I sneak a peek, it's good.

Are you a magazine junkie? What magazines do you order/receive?  Are you into food, decorating, clothing, current events or Hollywood gossip? Any suggestions on good home decor magazines? 

Puppy Eyes

It looks like we have a group of dog-lovers. I am not at all surprised. But, I was surprised that 27% of my fellow blog buds are much like myself, preferring neither dogs nor cats. Hmmmm. 

Looking at this sweet, pitiful puppy face, I feel awful saying that I am not a big fan. It looks like he's sad because of what I've had to say about his fellow breeds. 

Sorry puppy.

Woof, Woof...meooooow

My friend asked a question on her blog. She asked if you were a dog person, a cat person or a 'both' person. I had to tell her I was a 'neither' person. It's sad, but true. I have never been an animal lover. I know I am a rarity. Most people love their pets or wish they had one. I wish I were like that, but I'm just not. I don't mind animals, I just don't want to own one. I guess a lot of it goes back to never having pets growing up. I kind of dread the day my kids come to me begging for a pet. I think I will try to persuade them to get a fish.

I compromise by saying that I like people, a lot. That makes up for my animal aversion. 

Since I like the question, I thought I would ask the same. Just answer the poll. I'll be curious to find out what everyone loves.

To answer a few questions....

My friend, Stevi, and her husband, Matt, took the picture on our header. Stevi is a great friend of mine from high school. She has the most precious spirit and disposition. When she comes to visit Matt's family, we try to spend some time together.  Stevi and Matt live in Chicago and are the team that makes up Avery House Photography. Check out their work!

Stevi took pictures some time ago that I posted here. 

The picture on my header was taken in May. Stevi sent me a disk of the pictures several months ago, but being the very responsible adult that I am, I misplaced the disk. I was too embarrassed to tell her for quite some time. Finally, I told her about my idiocy and she recently sent us another disk. 

I will post more of the pictures later; Stevi and Matt are incredible!!!

And for those of you who called me and said something about the kids looking young, you are right. The pictures are over six months old. It is crazy how much children change in a mere six months. But, the pictures were too sweet not to use for a little while, at least. 

tExAs tEcH

Noah is going to dress up as a Texas Tech football player for halloween. We have the jersey, pants and pads, but we CANNOT find a helmet.

Does anyone own a child's Texas Tech helmet or know someone who does? Where did you get it? We would even settle for a solid red, white or black, but cannot find any of them. I am running out of time. He just needs a kids play helmet, not a real one. He is only two and I need him to be able to hold his head up for the night!

If you have any suggestions, please help me out.

Speaking of our beloved Texas Tech, Fight Raiders Fight! The game against Kansas will be on ESPN at 11 today. We will catch some of it before we board the plane. Have a great weekend!

The floods came up

It has rained all day.. We awoke to a soaking downpour and have splashed in the puddles forming. I love rainy days. But I don't know that I would enjoy living in an area that consisted mainly of rainy, dreary days. I cannot deny that sunshine does my soul well.
