-done 7 (oversized) loads of laundry.
-changed more diapers than you want to know about
-cleaned pee off the carpet.
-laid on the floor so that Noah could practice his long jumping over me.
-built a house. (so what if it was with Legos)
-carried on full length conversations with 3 baby dolls at one time.
-gone through half a box of Kleenexes wiping a snotty nose
-cooked 3 meals
-took a shower with a fully clothed little boy
-used my mini-vacuum more times than I can count
-played soccer, basketball, frisbee, golf, and baseball
-the list goes on...
And you know what?
I love it.
All of it.
I love my husband. I love my kids. I love what I do.
I love that when my husband comes home at the end of the day and asks me what I've done that day I can look at him with glazed over eyes and smile knowing he just wouldn't get it. Part of me thinks, do you really want to know? Another part of me thinks, if I told you you wouldn't believe me. Yet, most of me is just too exhausted to even give an account. So I usually just smile and say something to the effect of "Not much. What did you do?" And that is that.
There are days, like today, when the house is quiet during nap time that the only things that seems appropriate is to sit down and take my thankful heart before the Lord. I love to know that I have two bedrooms, with two cribs, holding two babies that I just adore. I love knowing that I serve a God who is faithful to an unworthy girl. I like that it's okay to know and be comfortable with the fact that I am unworthy.
What are you most thankful for today?

I love that you love being a mommy! And that you share that with us!
So far today, I am most thankful that I have a new awesome job with great perks and very helpful coworkers. I am also most thankful that traffic hasn't been bad during my commute... yet!
Ashley -
Hi there! This is Darci Manning (now Darci White) from Canyon. I don't know if you remember me at all, but I think we were in Teen Leadership Amarillo/Canyon together ....or something similar. Anyway, I stumbled upon your blog and read it often. You write so eloquently and truthfully. I'm sure you are an amazing mother!!
Just wanted to say hello and that I am a dedicated blog reader - small world, huh?
Blessings!

I am thankful for friends like you who can take an every day task and make it such a joy. Thank you for reminding me that as I do my daily 'chores'....most of them just like yours....to take a moment and thank our gracious lord for each and every one of them.
I have been feeling so blessed and thankful this week. I think it all started on Sunday when I got to see Jacob and Crystal after they had been gone for a week and then bumping into you (which we need to do more often). I got in the car and I told Chris that my heart has been so happy lately because of all of the joy and happiness my friends bring me. Monday night I got a call from my good friend RyAnn that reminded me of how much we have gone through together and how much stronger I am because I friends like her. Yesterday, I got to have lunch with my friend Lis who is visiting from out of town and feel blessed to be able to squezze her neck on occasion and kiss her baby girl. I blessed beyond measure to know such amazing women and to call them friends.
I love everything you wrote, it's all to scary how that's exactly my life this summer... except instead of two babies it's one and a very wound up pup. i am so happy for you that you love doing a whole lot of "nothing" with your babies at home...I'll be living the dream in just 9 short months when work away is over for me! And I think you are right...it's hard to explain to those sweet husbands of ours, I don't imagine Bry would understand how when that day comes it will be much longer hours, much harder work, and much more at stake!!
(but with a MUCH more rewarding pay check of course)
Blessings
Keri
PS. thank you for your prayers about Kiki's sleep, we are working through it all.
