Do you know this bird? Yeah, me neither until as of late. It's a dove.
Not the sweet, white dove that you may think of or the cheery turtle dove that we sing about at Christmas time... no, not this one.
It's the annoying kind of dove.
The kind that lives in the tree just outside my bedroom window.
The kind that wakes me up each morning hooting his brains out.
That kind of dove.
I am about to find a BB gun and shoot it. You think I'm kidding? No more playing nice gal for me. If this is illegal, please tell me now. This dove hoots ALL day long and it is really getting to me. Obviously. For the last four months, I was convinced that we had an owl living in our backyard. I'm sure that shooting an owl is illegal. Owls are the mascot for the elementary school across the street. I couldn't shoot the mascot for crying out loud. But it's a dove. Not an owl.
I think I can shoot a dove.

Amen sister! I HATE these birds!!!! Sometimes I think one of the kids are crying and it is the stupid birds!!!! I don't think shooting them is illegal, I certainly have thought about shooting them too!!!! Good luck!
I say go for it and don't let anyone see you. Is it the same one that has been building nests in your cute planter by your garage? It will be much easier to sell your house WITHOUT all of the bird poop on your driveway.
If you get a BB gun to shoot this bird, will you please film that action. =)
What is going on with the crazy birds lately? We had a bird incident here yesterday. I think you are allowed to shoot them, maybe you could borrow the guys from our small group, they have been wanting to go hunting!
This is so funny, and I say go for it. It makes me think of the movie Failure to Launch when she shoots the bird and then gives it mouth to mouth. So funny, just make sure you film it and post pictures.!
For about the past month I have been thinking there must be an owl hanging out in the tree outside our bedroom window. It mostly "hoots" in the afternoon when Saylor is down for her nap--or at least that is when I notice it. I wonder if it is a dove--I've never actually seen it. But it is pretty darn annoying. Interesting.
And to address your last post--I'll agree with everyone else...I love BareMinerals. I've been using it for about 2 years now. I definitely have an uneven skin tone and I love it. You can adjust how light or heavy you apply it. I thought it took forever to put on when I first got it, but give it a chance, you get the hang of it and it goes much faster. I love it!
It looks like a pigeon. I have a pigeon trap and will see if we can't trap the bugger and use it as a "training tool" for Buddy, my dog. Or you can borrow my pellet gun.....

It's probably too late now and most people say "shoot." But I say "don't." I know humans have souls and Jesus died for humans, but yet I don't like killing things just because they are inconvenient or annoying. What if the tables were turned on us? What would Jesus do in your situation? Would he give you a gun and say, "go at it?"
I'm not really going to shoot the bird. :)
