hey ashley- I have one of those at home too-wow is 2-4 hard!!!! I LOVE Power of Positive Mom-it just helped me be more positvie about everything & helped make things more peaceful too!! I have read this book 3-4 times or pull it out when I need to remember things!! It is by Karol Ladd-I am right there with you-I'll pray for you & your as I pray for me & mine! Mary Katherine
There are several different books geared toward each age range. And you may even be able to find a local group class to discuss the book & it's techniques & approach to parenting.
I've read Love and Logic for Early Childhood and thought it had some good ideas. I would love to have some new suggestions though! Hope your day goes better and you dont pull out your hair!
I have that book, Making your children Mind, Without Losing Yours, AND Creative Correction BOTH on my nightstand begging to be read! You can borrow one of them (I do intend to read one, i've been trying to read the first one a lot lately, to no avail)
And, yes, I agree with Brad, he's 3. ITS THE HARDEST AGE EVER! I'm sending Eisley off next month when she turns 2 until she's 4 1/2. Baby boarding school.
Oh, and I really am seeing glimmers of my emotionally prodigal child now that Mia is 4 and 3 months. People keep promising. I need it in writing though! Love you!
I definitely agree with Love and Logic!!! I really works when used correctly! It gives kids responsibility-and frees yourself from getting overly worked up---But it REALLY has the love aspect ad respect for the individual child!!! I use it in the classroom-but I also used it at the children's home w/ younger kids and saw it implemented in early childhood classrooms... :)

Fabulous!
The Strongwilled Child by Dr. Dobson. All his books are great. Also, Lisa Whelchel's Corrective Correction is absolutely fabulous.
