Works for Me!

I've seen Brittani post her Works for
me Wednesday tip, and I've even checked
out a few others so thought it would be fun to give it a try for myself!

I may not always have a good, helpful idea to share, but here's to insightful hopes...

~For the best eye make-up remover, simply mix equal parts Johnson and Johnson baby shampoo and water.~

TaDa!
That's it.
It's much cheaper than the Clinique remover I had been buying for years and works even better! As Johnson and Johnson promise, No More Tears. (I'm sure you can use any brand of baby shampoo, but J&J is what I've happened to have.)
I've used the same miniature bottle of shampoo for 3 years and I just continue to refill my old Clinique eye make-up remover bottle each time I reach the bottom. It's great. Three plus years of removing eyeliner and mascara for less than $0.99. Can't beat that!

I learned this great tip from a make-up artist who once dyed my eyelashes. Yes, you can dye your eyelashes. It is actually a really great thing.  I rarely do it, in fact, I've only done it 3 times or so in my life. The last time being my wedding, which is another story.

Actually, come back tomorrow and I will share the saga of MY wedding catastrophe!
TRUST ME, you will want to hear this.

So for more on eye lash dying and lots of laughs, I'll meet you at the same place tomorrow! And for more Works for me Wednesday tips, go to Rocks in My Dryer.

This sounds great! I was just thinking today that I spend a fortune of Almay or Neutrogena eye makeup remover. Does J&J dry out the area around your eyes at all?

Really? You can dye your eyelashes? Can you dye your eyebrows at the same time? Just curious.

Even though it will freak Chris out if I buy baby shampoo, I am so doing it. I have like 2 drops of Clinic eye make-up remover left and I just can't bring myself to go buy more. Can't wait to hear about your wedding drama.

I missed you last night. Brad said that you were there, but probably had to sneak out early with the kids. Are you going to Jacob's Saturday?? Hope so.

Mamacita,
The J&J has never dried my eyes out afterwards. I tend to have very normal skin, maybe a bit on the oily side if anything. If it does dry your eyes out to some extent, I would try Aveno baby shampoo. My sons skin is dry and while J&J aren't the best for his dry skin, Aveno is great.
I would guess it would have the same effect on dryer skin around the eyes as well...just a thought.

Hey Amy,
Sorry I missed you last night. I saw you and Chris across the room but it was during the service. We did slip out early, we had bedtimes to stick to :)
We're planning to be there Saturday...looking forward to hanging out!!!

I just want to embarrassingly admit that I took your advice. I happened to run into other articles that suggested the same thing, so I figured what the hey!

And I just tried it and it removed absolutely nothing.

Turns out I bought baby body wash instead. Oops.

Now I have to find a baby to wash.
