Is it me?

If we move, I am planning to re-do our bedroom. We have had the same comforter for three years. I'm over it.

I don't really have anything particular in mind, but I found this and I think I like it. Granted, I do NOT like the sheets it is paired with nor the shape of the bed. I would do white sheets, fold them back further and lots of big pillows. You could do so many colors; orange, white monogrammed, brown...

This is not something that I would normally pick, but that is one reason that I like it. With light walls, it could add so much color to a room.

Also, the reviews say that it washes beautifully (music to my ears).  Reason for liking it number two. And it's super reasonable. Number three. Something about knowing that little feet will be jumping on it and snotty noses will be rolling around on it makes me not want to spend lots of mullah.

What are your thoughts?  I am NOT sold on this. At all. I just started looking. Have you found any great bedding lately?

I love it. I saw one very similar this morning in target's ad and was contemplating if Mas would go for that color or not. (we've had our comforter for about three years also and I'm ready for a change). I agree about changing the sheets, too. I was at target today though, and they have tons of cute stuff. Happy redecorating!

Brad wasn't crazy about the color either, but I think after it was in place and looked better he would come around. :) That's my theory at least.

Hey Ashley, I have been reading your blog and finally decided to comment. I bought this bedding last week for our guest room and I love it! The color is great. And yes, I have already had to wash it due to rain and our dog and it washed very well.

I like it. I also agree about changing the sheets as well. I always check out www.domestications.com. Lots of bedding sets, and for really cheap prices. That's where we got our bedding for our room. :-)

I love it! And I agree that it would be fun with some bright colored pillows.

I love the comforter! Like you said, you can do a lot with it by adding different pillows with it. Maybe the pillows can be more masculine to even it out. Maybe that's what they were going for with the sheets? Post pics when you decorate your new room! I am on a decorating kick but it's hard to compromise tastes, I'm always nervous George won't like it. It's like he has an opinion if I am running it by him but once it is done he doesn't seem to care as much or likes it more then he thought he would.

Love it. I'm dying to change our bedding too. We never did LOVE the set that we have now- but we had to register for something. Someday, when we have a house, I'm going to find something I can't live without. *Sigh* Would love to have new towels for the bathroom too! :)

You make me want to get new bedding. We've had ours for almost eight years....it's definitely time. I really really like the bedding. I agree you can do sooo much with it....pillows, wall color, etc. Very classy!

It's fun and bright.....I like it! And since it's reasonably priced, it hurts less if you get it and want something new down the road.

We bought this bright bedding awhile back and it was brighter than I expected!: http://littlepinkshadetree.blogspot.com/2008/07/no-more-dogs-on-bed.html

I ended up not using the sheets (they sit in my linen closet, which is very annoying because they weren't cheap) when I found a great quilt that toned it all down a bit.

Here's the bed w/ the quilt:

Probably way more information & references than you wanted. Sorry, I'm stuck at work because of bad weather and am refusing to do more work at 6:40 p.m.!

:)
Long story short - I think it's a great choice...you can either keep it bright or tone it down if you want to later.

I am looking for a durable, washable comforter too!! I have been through 3 in the last 2 years! (well, one doesn't count because it was stolen from the laundromat!) Pottery Barn always has quality duvets . . . I am really wanting a duvet this time, so I can wash it every other week. With a down-alternative comforter under it. Zoe gets on the bed, thus the reason for needed frequent washing! Love you!
