-Have you ever heard of swagbucks? It's a website that you login to and use as a search engine. Unlike Google, you earn points for using it that you redeem for items (gift cards and such). A cool concept, right? I figure that I might as well be gaining something from all of the internet searching I do. Or maybe you don't call the internet your friend and consult it for everything under the sun, like me?!?
-Happy Earth Day!
-Does anyone use Bare Minerals make up? I want to try it, but it is hard to find time to go to Ulta to let them demonstrate how to use it. What are your thoughts on it? I like light make up, but don't have the most even skin tone, would it work for me?
-I went on a shopping spree at Target yesterday. Why is that so easy to do there? I go in for one or two items and leave with bags full of randomness. It was fun though!
-Are you confused by my title?

I use and LOVE bare minerals. I am not a "make-up girl"...I don't know the proper ways to put it on, I don't know the right colors to choose, etc. BUT BareMinerals are awesome and I don't even feel like I have makeup on, but I feel naked without it now...You should try it!
I used BareMinerals for about 4 years. I still get acne and my skin is blotchy. It is light. But I found a secret..... Loreal's mineral makeup is the closest I have found and a bargain in comparison. I have to mix two different colors since I am pretty fair. You can buy it at Target too. For $12.99 just give it a try. It is on sale this week for $9.99. It is messy if you spill though. By the way, I went to Target yesterday to get some baby food and my bill came to $43. What is it about that place? I love it too.
My mom, my sister and I all wear Bare Minerals and I will not wear anything else now. We have all been wearing it for about 3 years. I am not that "hip" on makeup, but I love this stuff. They have great blush and eye shadow too. You can catch it on sale at www.qvc.com sometimes.
Amen to Target randomness. You once told me that if you could have an unlimited amount of money to spend anywhere, it would be Target. I have NO idea why that stuck with me all these years.
MODNAR = Random backwards. I'm on to you!
Good detective work Magen! Sam would have known that, but not me!
I hear bare minerals is great, but I don't personally use it. you first!
Remember in college when we would go to Target and have our carts loaded and would slowly put most all of it back by the time we got up to purchase it. Megan never put her's back though b/c - Daddy pays!!! oh the days!!
I hate working inside all day b/c it has been amazing here also!! Today though a bit hot - 92!!
That's all...sorry for the long comment!
LOVE bare minerals....i have used it for several years and will never use anything else! ALSO...I went to target yesterday for baby food and came out with outfits for both girls, a few shirts for myself and about 50 more dollars worth of random things! I LOVE target! hope you guys are having a good week!
I too figured out MONDAR = Random. I have always LOVED puzzles like that!
I'll add to the concensus, I too have spent almost $100 at Target this week (Sunday actually) It gets me every time!
i dont know if i would have figured out mondar! glad magen and sarah did!
i use bare minerals too...i like it, but i dont know that it is bare minerals brand that i love or just the mineral-type products...i was thinking about trying the mary kay minerals make up, so after i try it, i can let you know...
at work...we never just say the word "Target" its always "Target, Best Store EVER!"
I figured out your Random thing and was actually proud of myself. Is that sad? I love doing those word puzzles in the Parade Magazine that comes in the paper. I am a nerd. Anyway, I have been using Bare Minerals for about 3 years and love it. I never feel like I have make-up on which is awesome and it is really easy and fast to apply. Missed you and the kids tonight. Hope you have a good Thursday.
PS Chris and I are just lucky we dont have a Super Target!!
To add to the consensus, I also wear and LOVE Bare Minerals!!! Usually just use concealer for blotchy areas and under the eyes... that paired with Bare Minerals is great :)
Mary Kay has a loose powder like Bare Minerals. It works for people who don't turn as bright has a traffic light like I do - so you may want to try that out too. I'm peronally a Clinique girl - but I have tried Mary Kay out and it wasn't too shabby.
i'm glad you asked this about the mineral powder make-up. i've been wanting to try it, but haven't made the time (and like you, i'm concerned that it might be too light for my uneven skin tone).
and YES, target is wonderfully awful. i was once oh so tempted to total how much i spent at target last year (you can just search "target" and a date parameter w/ online banking). i ended up NOT doing it as i was terrified my hubby would want to know the grand total too!
I've never tried bare minerals, but I use the new Mary Kay mineral powder foundation and love it! very light and easy!
